You receive error 1603 when you try to install the Exchange Server 2010 RU4

Most people say to do a Run-As on CMD and then launch the MSP installer.
This does not work. Try to open Powershell from Start>Programs> Accessories> Powershell

If it fails to open you need to:

Re-install Powershell. WINRM KB968930-x64 then re-install. You can see that Powershell will not open before the fix.

Then you can run the updates and you can also open them EMC and EMS on this node.

  1. Those files may have been accidentally deleted from the computer or are hampered for use. A user can use the Windows search facility from the start menu to locate the missing installation files.
